Hello! I’m Courtney Young, a Charleston, South Carolina native and the owner of Young Mermaids.

I’ve been sewing since I was 14 and studied Apparel Design at Auburn University.  After graduating in 2019, I gained experience working in bridal alterations, custom bridal, and creating bridal samples — all of which inspired me to launch my own brand.

I wanted to create a studio space that feels bright and peaceful, where every bride is part of their own design process.  My goal is to make this the most seamless experience, so you can truly enjoy the journey and love how you look and feel on your big day.
